2008 CODE UPDATE CLASS

Seminar will cover code changes for the 2008 NEC. See the new articles including, critical operations, power systems, reinforced thermosetting resin conduit, control systems for permanent amusement attractions, and electrified truck parking space equipment. Find out about how residential AFCI protection is extended. See how the most far-reaching change is the definition of neutral. We will provide a thorough review of these and more than 350 other changes before the State of Wyoming adopts NEC-2008. Be the first in your group to know. You’ll be glad you did. Sixteen hour code seminar good for license renewal. Class is sponsored by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the Wyoming Electrical JATC.  The class will be taught by Clay Rouse and Borgia Noel, members of the IAEI.

Locations:

Cheyenne: IBEW LU 415-810 Fremont St.

Dates: June 17th, June 19th, June 24th, June 26th

Time: 6:00 pm to 10pm, each night (Total of 16 hrs.)

Must attend all four evenings for credit

Casper: IBEW LU 322-691 English Dr.

Dates: June 14th, June 15th

Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Total of 16 hrs.)

Must attend both days for credit

Cost

$25 and bring your own 2008 NEC to the class

Deadline

There will be a minimum enrollment of 20 for class in each area.

Must register and submit payment to the Wyoming Electrical JATC no later than June 2, 2008.If minimum enrollment is not met, the class will be cancelled.

Class will consist of 2 hours of classroom instruction and participation and a homework assignment. Homework must be turned in complete to the JATC within 2 weeks of the classroom training. Participants need to bring a 2005 NEC and calculator with them to class. A minimum score of 75% on the homework assignment will be required. There will be no partial credit awarded to those who do not return the assignment in a timely manner.

A follow-up class on motor overcurrent protection will be offered in the near future. Those wishing to participate in the follow-up class should first attend the current class.

Pre-registration is not required. Participants will sign up at the class. Participants must be present for the entire class.

Last Chance Code Class

Class will consist of classroom lecture and practice exercises as well as homework assignments that must be completed and returned to the JATC office.

In order for the class to be held, there must be a minimum, prepaid enrollment of 10 participants by November 17, 2006 in each area.

Materials needed: 2005 NEC-Supplied by participant, Workbook-suplied at class, Textbook-supplied at class and returned to JATC when homework is finished.

Class will include 8 hours of classroom instruction and a homework assignment to be completed and returned to JATC for scoring. A score of 75% will be required on homework for credit.

Minimum enrollment-10 per class

Class cost-$30.00 for Members

Class cost-$100.00 for Non Members

Deadline for enrollment and payment is FEBRUARY 28, 2007
